Jagat Shiromani
Temple is located at the
foothills of the
Amber Palace. The
temple was built between 1656-1665 and
is one of the marvels of Indian temple
architecture. It house a black stone
idol of Lord Krishna, which was
worshipped by saint-poetess Mira Bai and
was brought from Chittaurgarh. The
temple has an elegant marble the
north-eastern boundary of the temple is
a Torandwar, which was built by Kankawat,
the queen of Raja Man Singh, in the
memory of his deceased son Jagat Singh. |
